Our trattoria

Typical Lombard dishes and wine selection

We are located in Lomellina, in Gambolò. For over 50 years, our family has been running a traditional trattoria that has won the hearts of both the local community and visitors.

The warm and bright dining rooms are the first spaces that welcome our guests. An inn has existed here since 1936, and about twenty years later, in 1957, it became a trattoria run by a single family, offering typical Lomellina cuisine.

In 1996, it transformed into a refined restaurant with elegant yet understated decor. Here, you’ll find three rooms featuring beam ceilings, ceramic floors, white plaster or exposed brick walls, soft halogen lighting, and rich drapery.

During the beautiful season, we move to the veranda for outdoor dining. Our creative cuisine respects traditional techniques and the local ingredients.

The risotto

The crown jewel of our trattoria

This traditional dish from Northern Italy is prepared by cooking rice with various ingredients to create a rich FIRST COURSE.

RISOTTO tells the story of its region, its history, and its traditions.

Rice pairs perfectly with a variety of ingredients, such as fish, meat, vegetables, cheese, and more.

Every RISOTTO we serve is made with authentic Carnaroli rice from the Riserva San Massimo, seasonal ingredients, and is perfectly complemented by a good glass of wine!

Cultivated exclusively within the Riserva, surrounded by unspoiled nature and away from busy roads, we produce three varieties of high-quality rice: authentic Carnaroli (both classic and whole grain), Rosa Marchetti, and Vialone Nano.

However, it is not just the habitat that makes this rice unique. Significant attention is given to every stage of processing to ensure a product of excellence.

The production process of the various rice varieties from Riserva San Massimo, from threshing to packaging, is still carried out artisanally. This allows the rice to maintain its flavor, fragrance, and all the organoleptic qualities acquired during its growth in this pristine environment.
